What do you do at Big Valley?
As Cybersecurity Media + Influencer Lead, I tell the stories of our cybersecurity clients. From the latest threat intelligence to the most recent cyber-attack, I work hand-in-hand with reporters and our clients, to establish them as expert sources with the media while also building the brand of each company. Working with Big Valley’s story and content team, social media experts and data gurus, I ensure our client’s story is told to the right audience and is promoted across numerous channels.
Why Big Valley Marketing?
Since starting my career in PR almost a decade ago, I’ve worn many hats – from doing social media work, to writing press releases and advising clients through crises. However the one clear through-line, and my biggest passion, has been my ability to connect and work with reporters. Big Valley’s business model empowers me to do just that, full time. By focusing on storytelling and relationship building with media & influencers all over the world, I am truly living my dream.
Of equal importance is the company culture. In my career, I’ve worked in numerous industries and for many different “bosses.” In addition to PR, I’ve also been an aide to a politician in Florida and in D.C. and have spent my fair share of time on campaign trails. Whether it be in politics or PR, it is very easy to “talk the talk,” but Big Valley “walks the walk.” My opinion is respected, my work is valued and there are no internal politics. I am able to balance my life (and being a new Dad) with my work. My colleagues are some of the best, brightest and most genuine people I know. Because of that, I look forward to coming to work (remotely) everyday, while also delivering the best results for our clients.
What’s one thing fun or surprising about you?
I am a huge aviation geek. I’ve loved planes since I was a little kid and have been taking flight lessons with the ultimate goal of getting my private pilot license.
