Romeo “Jun” Quintana is a senior communication research consultant with over 20 years of experience in communication research, measurement, and evaluation. He was a Program Officer of the Measurement and Insights Team, Office of the Chief Communications Officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where he led both media campaigns evaluation and risk and reputation insights projects. Before that, he led the Technology Insights Practice of WE Communications, responsible for thought leadership, client, and new business support. Prior to WE, he held similar leadership roles at leading technology comms agencies such as Eastwick (now Hotwire PR), FleishmanHillard, WCG (now Real Chemistry) and Weber Shandwick. Past clients include HP, Oracle, AT&T, Juniper Networks, Chevrolet, US Army, and Visa. Even earlier, he spent seven years at TNS Market Research, overseeing global client experience and brand-tracking projects for IBM and Intel, respectively. His current research interests include exploring the practical applications of generative AI in PR and communications workflows, specifically in insights generation. Jun has a Master’s degree in Communication from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s in Communication Research from the University of the Philippines. He has also completed a Certificate in Business Analytics from The Wharton School of Business and a Certificate in Strategic Communications in Society: Power, Ethics and Practice from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). When not working and testing out the latest social media listening platforms and daydreaming about becoming a stand-up comic, Jun loves hiking and enjoying the culinary options in the greater San Francisco Bay area.
