Peter Rydell is a member of Big Valley Marketing’s Media and Influencer relation team. In his role, he assists in the planning, development and execution of client earned and owned media strategies. He also supports analyst relations strategy on behalf of the firm and its clients. Peter has helped numerous startups in their launch, funding and product announcement journeys, with his client portfolio at Big Valley spanning mobile and web development, AI and ML, security, supply chain, digital transformation, and networking and infrastructure verticals. Most recently, Peter secured more than 20 placements for Fastly and its co-founders in support of a pivotal developer acquisition, with coverage featured in Insider, the Verge, and the New Stack. His clients have also appeared in feature stories for TechCrunch, VentureBeat, the New York Times and more. Prior to joining Big Valley, Peter was a member of Weber Shandwick’s West Coast Media Relations team, specializing in B2B and consumer tech. His clients included Honeywell, GSMA, Sony Electronics, Riot Games and more. During his time at Weber Shandwick, he supported GSMA’s media efforts in the leadup to and throughout several Mobile World Congress events in Los Angeles, led launch and review programs for Sony Electronics entire catalogue of consumer products - including the most successful product launch ever for Sony Electronics for the WH-1000XM4 headphones - and managed hundreds of media interviews, engagements and feature stories during multiple League of Legends World Championships, the largest esports event in the world. Peter received a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Sewanee and is a Knowledge Capital Group Certified Industry Analyst Relations Professional. When he isn’t working, he is coding or spending time with his wife and golden retriever at home in Charlotte, NC.
