What do you do at Big Valley?
I feel a bit like a shooting guard here – granted I never even made junior varsity. As a member of the Media + Influencer practice, I work with our clients and, just as importantly, internal client teams filled with brilliant writers, content developers, client partners and data whizzes, to put points on the board. Whether it’s developing smart strategies, uncovering the right stories, identifying the strongest angles, or building lasting media, analyst, and other influencer relationships, what we do on the day-to-day is all about driving not just quality placements but quality interactions.
Why Big Valley Marketing?
For me, the “why Big Valley Marketing” question is almost a “why not Big Valley Marketing” question. I could come up with a million reasons for the former, but I’d wager, like me, others here would have a tough time coming up with one for the latter.
Frankly, I wasn’t looking for Big Valley. But as soon as that door opened, and I met the people, got a glimpse of the culture, and was presented with the opportunities to grow into a specialty and flex my expertise, plus work with what feels like a second family, I never looked back. Not sure why I’d want to be anywhere else.
What’s one thing fun or surprising about you?
To be honest, I’m a screen guy. I love movies and catching the latest shows. Plus, our work requires lots of work on the computer and I still try to find time to code on a regular basis. It adds up. So, it helps that I really enjoy more artsy things too. While I don’t draw or paint as much as I used to, I love making pottery and got into photography over the last few years. I also recently picked up the banjo and can play a pretty mean Boil That Cabbage Down.
